2nd Thatcham Scout Group

2nd Thatcham Scout Group is made up of 4 sections: a Squirrel Drey, Two Beaver Colonies, Two Cub Packs, and a Scout Troop. They meet at the Scout Hut, which is situated at the Memorial Playing Field in Thatcham, behind the Memorial Hall and Bowls club.

  Meeting times

Squirrels – (4 – 6 yrs old)

Wildbird – Thursdays – 5:15pm – 6:15pm

Beavers (6 – 8 yrs old)

Forest – Wednesdays – 5.30pm – 6.45pm

Great Oak – Fridays – 5.15pm – 6.30pm

Cubs – (8 – 10½ yrs old)

Rogers – Mondays – 6pm – 7.30pm

Bostock – Fridays – 6.30pm – 8pm

Scouts – (10½ – 14 yrs old)

Thor – Thursdays – 7pm – 9pm

  How to recognise us

Scouts wear distinctive scarves also known as a ‘neckers’. These help to differentiate one group from another. 2nd Thatcham’s necker is mostly burgundy with a pale blue trim.
